News: 50 Cent promises to Quit

50 Cent believes his new album will outsell Kanye West's upcoming disc, and he's betting his solo career on it.

Both 50 Cent and West have albums due out September 11. 50 Cent, who has sold better than West, has been riled by forecasts that sales of West's Graduation could rival those for his Curtis CD.

"Let's raise the stakes," the 31-year-old rapper told hip-hop website SOHH.com in an interview posted Friday. "If Kanye West sells more records than 50 Cent on September 11, I'll no longer write music. I'll write music and work with my other artistes, but I won't put out anymore solo albums."

An email sent to West's publicist was not immediately returned Friday.

News: Fully Loaded 2007

The 2007 edition of Fully Loaded held at the James Bond Beach on July 29, 2007, was not the typical Fully Loaded Overloaded. This year there were no sound clashes and also Bounty Killer did not make his usual appearance. In addition the promoter, Sharon Burke, was consistently dissed by Black Chiney.

The sound systems came and they played, but not many were able to win the approval of the audience, as patrons at one point started to hurl stones and bottles on the stage, forcing the 'man from Mars' to take centre stage in an effort to restore the order.

"Calm down mi people, mi sey calm down. Mi nuh waan dem mash up mi fun," Matterhorn announced over the microphone at around 2:40 a.m., shortly after Black Chiney had exited the stage following their 'dissing spree' of promoter Sharon Burke.

Patrons may have enjoyed Black Chiney up until the end when they had a go at Burke saying, "Yow Sharon Burke fi foff." This in no way set a bed of roses for the next sound that followed, which annoyed patrons to the point where they started to hurl stones and bottles onto the stage.
