News: Warrants issued for Machel and Slaughter over Carnival stabbing

Machel Montano and Derek Perreira aka Mr. Slaughter are facing charges after allegedly being involved in an altercation which resulted in San Fernando resident Joel White being stabbed with a broken beer bottle on February 28, 2006, Carnival Tuesday. At the time Slaughter stated the allegations was "a lie".

The warrants were being prepared by officers of the Woodbrook Police Station and charges of wounding with intent are expected to be laid against Montano and Perreira. The stabbing occurred outside a nightclub on Cipriani Boulevard.
