News: Reggae Gold's hits and misses

This is the first year that I wasn't looking forward to VP Records' usually anticipated summer collection, Reggae Gold. There hasn't been any track hot enough to make you stand up and take strong notice.

The latest edition of the Reggae Gold compilation does have a few hits and misses. Reggae Gold 2007 edition contains some tracks that we are already familiar with (mind you, they might be new to the US market), and there are also a few tracks included that makes you wonder how they made it in the first place.

The devoted Reggae Gold fanatic might find relief with tracks such as Bad From Mi Born by Munga (at least his one is quite current); Last Night by Mavado; Bring It by Elephant Man; Brooklyn And Jamaica by Morgan Heritage; My Fadah Seh by Gyptian; Hideaway by Tessanne Chin; Love and Affection by Pressure (great song); Sacrifice by Alaine (a decent song); More Woman by Shaggy; and I Need Her in My Arms by I Wayne (where has he been?).
