News: Akon apology for Zen dance with Danah in Trinidad

I'm a little shocked that this keeps popping up in the press.  I thought it would be dead by now but it seems like Trinidad just won't let it go.  After reading this article it sounds like things are going to be wrapped up and we shouldn't hear more about it. 

I was also shocked that somebody actually registered the girls name and put up a site dedicated to this.  I recieved the link in my email this week to http://www.danahalleyne.com/.  Come on.. just let it go!

Akon has finally come forward as a man, and offered up an apology for his dance with 15 year old Danah Alleyne at Zen recently in Trinidad. In a statement released to the Associated Press Akon apologizes to "the teen and anyone else who was offended by the display".

The apology from Akon comes a short while after Verizon Wireless pulled lucrative sponsorship deals to both Akon and the Gwen Stefani Tour, on which Akon is the opening act.
