News: Belmont police to question Machel and others over Zen incident

Soca artistes Machel Montano, Benjai, Shall Marshall and Kernel Roberts are to be questioned by Belmont police following an incident outside Club Zen yesterday morning which left a patron, Russell Pollonaise with injuries.

Police said around 2 a.m, Russell Pollonaise, 24, and several friends were liming at the club when one of Pollonaise's friends spilled a drink on a woman with whom soca artiste Machel Montano was dancing.

It is alleged that there was an altercation following which Zen's security officers ordered Pollonaise and his friend out of the club. Belmont police said Machel Montano, Shall Marshal, Benjai and Kernel Roberts followed the men outside the club where the argument continued.
