News: Faye Ann on Jamaican Riddim

Faye-Ann Lyons is a busy woman these days. The former Road March queen has lent her voice to the truck back rhythm by Jamaican Harry Todler and is now adding the final touches to her 2006 soca song. Lyons is hoping to release one of the tracks before Christmas.

Lyons won the 2003 road march title with her song Display and also copped three awards at the Copyright Organisation of T&T's sixth annual Music Awards in 2004 for that same song.

The elated singer/songwriter had said then that she had only begun climbing her ladder which she described as "very long".

The former lead singer with Point Fortin-based band Invazion, Lyons quit in January to do her own thing.
