News: Shaka Pow - The doctor who deejays

"He can be found in the emergency room and operating theatre of the May Pen Hospital in Clarendon as much as in the recording studios.

A past student of Kingston College, he is known in the medical field as Dr Garth Mc Donald, while in the world of dancehall/reggae he is Shaka Pow, the deejay who currently has a number of releases enjoying good airplay on radio.

With five songs getting power-play, Shaka Pow has attracted the attention of a number of top producers, among them Steely and Clevie and Q-45, producer of the song Look Sexy for which the entertainer who manages to balance medicine and music has a video. Featuring in the video is the female performer, Fetish."
