News: GYPTIAN'S MANAGEMENT IS upset

"Ravin Wong, the artiste's booking agent, is distressed at what he said is unfair and unscrupulous promotion of his client. Wong said that a number of promoters are advertising the artiste for shows they know nothing about.

"They are putting out his name on a number of posters for shows that we don't know 'bout and we would like to highlight this to the public," Mr. Wong pointed out. "We would like them to stop doing this as it could affect the artiste in the long run."

Wong believes that the false advertising might affect the credibility of the artiste and that fans may regard him as a no-show. He also believes that this may affect the legitimate bookings.

Despite hearing about and seeing such posters, Mr. Wong noted that they have not taken any action to date, but highlighted that after reviewing the nature of the false advertisements, it might be a possibility.

"We don't want to compromise the legitimate bookings, but at the same time we have to highlight the false ones. We don't want to deal with any lawsuit thing right now, therefore we are hoping that we don't have to take the matter a step further.

"To date, I have confronted a promoter in Mandeville, who has Gyptian on his poster as the main act. We have not spoken to or confronted any other promoters, because we only see these posters but don't actually know who is putting on the show," Mr. Wong explained."
