News: Keeping company with the greats

"The 2005 staging of Tribute to the Greats awards show/dance at Curphey Place, Swallowfield Road on Saturday was once again a pleasant and enjoyable reunion fete well attended by a wide cross section of "old-school" music fans.

From the reaction of the audience, inclusive of previous honourees Prince Buster, Grammy winner Lee 'Scratch' Perry, Finance Minister Omar Davies and member of parliament for central St Catherine Olivia 'Babsy' Grange, the King Omar Promotions lived up to the standard it has established over the past eight years."
