News: Shabba Ranks CYAAN DUN!

Just the otherday I was wondering what happenned to Shabba. One of the top DJ's of all time and he just dissapear. Well I ran accross this article in Jamaica Sunrise and it only showed me that Shabba cyaan dun!!

"Shabba Ranks opened up dialogue on radio last Thursday when he joined IRIE-Jam hosts to promote a concert he signed that day to perform an IRIE Jamboree. As always, Ranks took the opportunity to vent about various warts. He slammed pirates who he did not name but described them as parasites, bandits and with other unappealing terms. But anyone traveling this planet knows that Ranks is still the ruling deejay on the dancehall circuit. His recordings are a constant on African, European and USA radio. While a few others may have surpassed his pioneering acts, Ranks remains the first deejay to nab a Grammy, and the one to pave the path to mainstream success for many others. I smile when Shaggy sells, I am happy when I see Beenie on TV and bwoy, me jus love Vybz Cartel... Shabba generously doled out kudos to his colleagues. He also pleaded a case for ghetto people. He eloquently steered the show past niche appeal. Ranks along with Barrington Levy, Luciano, Freddy McGregor, Richie Stephens, Tanya Stephens, Frankie Paul, Cobra and others will meet inside Roy Wilkins Park in Queens next Sunday. By the way, another quotable moment found Ranks graciously thanking his fans saying Bob Marley never got to see how people love him...but if I die tonight...I know I have seen the love. If Shabba made a serious comeback I feel he would run things once again.
